Marking three years: We’re living in a miracle.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Things have been moving quickly! It is hard to believe that it has been three years since we first began gathering once a month to pray and dream about what God might do through a new church community. We started as a house church with our own plans, but along the way, God changed them and led us somewhere we never expected — into becoming a church with a physical home of our own.

Purchasing our church building has required a great deal of faith and financial commitment. There have been moments when we did not know where the money for the next bill would come from. But since officially purchasing our place in January, we have seen God provide again and again.

There were times when my own faith was small and I wondered how everything would work out. But through it all, I have been reminded that this truly is His church. He is at work among us, and we are living in something we could never have accomplished on our own.

As we mark three years of Crosspoint, we have so much to thank God for.

Summer impacts ⛱️

We are so thankful for the teams who came to Oslo this summer to share the gospel across our city.

A total of 41 people came from 12 U.S. states, 6 European countries, 1 South American country, and 2 Asian countries. Together, we engaged with 681 people, prayed with 216, shared 143 personal testimonies, and presented the full gospel 178 times.

We are grateful for every conversation and opportunity God gave us. Please continue to pray for those we met — that God would keep working in their hearts and draw them to Jesus.

From 2–6 August, many from Crosspoint joined the youth camp in Vegårshei, where more than 270 people from nearly 30 churches across Norway gathered. It was powerful to worship, learn, build relationships, and see what God is doing among young people in Norway. 🥰

At the beginning of September, Ezequiel and Genna were baptised at Operastranda. What a joy to celebrate this important step of faith with them! Please pray for them as they continue to follow Jesus in everyday life.

We also had the joy of celebrating William and Sung’s wedding in May — the first wedding of a couple from our Crosspoint family! It was a special milestone for them and for us as a church. Please pray for William and Sung as they build their life together with Jesus at the centre.

The journey continues 👏

After faithfully serving with us for about two years, Aidan and Hannah are now in the United States, preparing to welcome their new baby and for a new season of ministry in Moldova. We are incredibly grateful for all they have invested in Crosspoint. Their transition has also given us an opportunity to renew our teams and strengthen our structure for the season ahead.

In June, Crosspoint was officially welcomed into the Baptist Union of Norway during the General Assembly in Harstad. We are thankful for the relationships, encouragement, and support we have received as part of this wider family of churches.

Thank you for standing with us through your prayers, encouragement, friendship, and generous giving. We are deeply grateful that we get to be part of what God is doing together.

Please continue to pray for Crosspoint as we enter this next season — that we would remain attentive to God’s leading, faithful with what He has entrusted to us, and courageous in sharing Jesus with our city.

Your prayers matter

🙏 Praise — We have seen God’s provision and are thankful for the opportunities He gave us to reach people with the gospel this summer. We praise Him for His faithfulness and guidance.

🙏 Pray for the fall semester — Pray for those who have recently moved to Oslo, that they would find a place where they belong. Pray that we would grow deeper in our trust in God and live out our faith every day.

🙏 Pray for heating — Winter is coming, and we still do not have a heating system in our church building. Thankfully, we have a way forward and have received some donations toward installing heat pumps. There are still steps ahead, including increasing the building’s electrical capacity and receiving approval from the kommune based on plans from an architect. We also need more finances. Pray that the process will move smoothly, the approvals will come through, and the remaining finances.

If you feel led, please support through prayer, giving, or sharing the vision. Every contribution makes a difference.
